This is a real funny series in which three people’s lives get pretty messed up all because of one girl- Xiao Hua. Jia Si Le, a rich young man, Tang Men, his best friend and an image consultant, Xiao Hua, a really messy-haired, childish but adorable and kind-hearted girl, and Jiang Mi, a really sophisticated and proper young woman were all in the same school when they were young kids. Their lives get messed up when Jia Si Le holds a party at his house to celebrate his engagement to his fiance, Jiang Mi. He invites all his old schoolmates, including Xiao Hua. He is happy to finally meet her after his many years spent in Japan because when he was younger he was very fat and Xiao Hua was the only person to treat him as an equal. She is dressed in many coloured clothes and he falls in love with her at first sight, despite the fact that many people are laughing at her and he starts dancing with her. He makes his choice and a few days later asks her to marry him. Xiao Hua is terrified and thinks that Jia Si Le wants her to change and be more ‘grown-up’. And then her chance came: Xiao Hua and Tang Men had sat in a taxi together because Tang Men couldn’t get one. They had hated each other at first sight. Then Tang Men dropped his scissors in the cab by accident as he was getting out and Xiao Hua took them home. At home she watches the television and finds out that Tang Men is actually a famous image consultant and realises that he can help her. She black-mails him into giving her three classes (that later turn into regular ones) if she gave him her scissors back. Meanwhile, Jia Si Le has told Jiang Mi that he wants to marry Xiao Hua and to make him happy she says that she loves him as a brother as well.

My cousin and I were in the shopping mall in Singapore, where she lives. I was visiting her and her family. We went to eat lunch with her bro, her mum, and my mum. Sounds normal? DON’T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT’S COVER…

” You guys better wash your hands before you eat,” said her mum and mine, almost together. ” Joe will take you,” added her mum. That’s my cousin’s elder bro. We call him Joe for short. His real name is Joseph.

We groaned. Joe could be nice… sometimes… But he was in a mischievious mood… Who knows what he’ll be up to?!

He took us out. On the way to the washroom, which my cuzzin and I did not know where, he lost us. ON PURPOSE!!! We tried to find our way there, and got ourselves into a corridor, deep in the building, with no one else around!!

” Where to now ?” we asked each other. We saw a staircase going down, and I ran up to it. I looked down and… there was a guy drinking from a big mug, coming UP!!!

” Ahhh…” he said, looking like a vampire that just drank BLOOD. A chill ran down my spine…

” RUNNN!!” I yelled at my cuzzin. We thought that the first door we ran into was the exit, but it was even darker than the one we were in! We backed out, clutching each other’s hands. It actually looked like a scene from a scary movie!!

The man had reached the top of the staircase and was walking towards us! Suddenly, I had an idea: If that wasn’t the door, the one next to the guy must be! As quick as a flash, I pulled my cousin towards the door, but the man was there! We quickly pushed past him and went through the door. Before we went, though, I had heard him say ” Why are you running? ” with an evil grin…

We went back to the restaurant after finally finding a way out. Joe was there. He gave us a little grin. Then he took us to the toilet, not ‘losing’ us this time!

We washed up, and when we returned to the restaurant again, told the whole story. It turned out that Joe had gone back to the restaurant while we were lost and happily told our mums that he lost us!!

Itzhak Perlman

Itzhak Perlman is a very famous violinist. He is always at the top of the charts in the Philadelphia concerts. Here is his life story:

He had Polio when he was only a young boy and since then, he couldn’t walk. But then, playing his violin didn’t need any walking… His violin soon became his precious, favourite toy and he always played it.

Now, even as a grown man, he plays with it as if he was still a boy playing with his toys.
